How to go in  the presence of your Mentor

My guide , friend   and philosopher is my Pujya Gurudeva- Rajrishi Kapil Advait , known to the word as ‘Mahayogi Pilot Baba’.  In the earstwhile material life, he has been a very brave fighter Pilot in the Indian Airforce-A twice decoratd war hero-breavest of the brave. In spiritual life also, he has been bravest of the brave. It is not an easy  thing to donate one’s vast estates   and the princely material assets -  to go away in the High Himalayas- penniless  and without any resource whatsoever.  On introspection, I find   that I could not have done it. I am not a coward but I am not the bravest of the brave either. A very very few of us can dare to go in the search of the unknown. How many Sadhus of today dare to leave   the sancturi of the Ashrams  and go in to wilderness of jungles and mountains without bothering  whether  they would live or perish in the search?  Once I am through with my responsibilities - or what I think are my responsibilities, I would not mind giving it a try. The experience will be worth it all the way-something an earth bound material mind will consoider to be foolishness.

He is my mentor. Who is a mentor?  A mentor is the one who modulates  or in whose guidence, one gets modulated in thought , action and behaviour.  This can  happen to you- only if you are a disciple   and not a devotee of your Sudguru. If you read the holistic books published on the web (as  also on Kindal format) by Mahayog Foundation through Nav Nirman Publication trust, the difference between the two would be obvious.  A disciple follows the teachings of his revered Sudguru  and tries to inbibe  the same in his real life. It is not a matter of saying - but a matter of doing. Lip service  and insincerity would not do.  One has to be totally sincere -for the grace to flow in to one’s being.  I am privilaged , honoured   and proud to be the disciple of  the Mahayogi- a world master.

The intent of this blog is not to propagate my Master’s name for two reasons- firstly, I am not a lackey of my teacher-I am his disciple.  Secondly, he does not need any introduction.  Millions all over the planet have found spiritual progress following his teachings. These fortunate ones do their Sadhana- incognito and hidden from the sight of the world. In my happiness of having found the holy grail-It is entirely human to try and share the same with the fellow human beings.

Sitting at his feet is an honour and a divine experience. Most people come to him with a cluttered mind planning to what  favors can be got from him- divine intersession for  their material needs. There are others who come out of curiocity to see what happens. There is the third kind, who come full of deciet  and intent to cheat.  They would show great reverence  buu their actions will be nothng short of criminality.

Some one has said, “ The good Lord must be having a great sense of humour- for, look at how much variety in humanity he has created in this world. Each indivisual is different fom the other.  These poor lowly creatures have no idea of the damage they do to their Karma-with consequent effects in   the time to come. The three dimensional body ssytem will drop off one day. Is it not?  and after  that- what?

If one goes to Mahayogi, one should not speak much  but sit quietly and listen to whatever he says- for there is  Himalayan Siddha knowledge in his spoken word. Sit quietly and savor   the flow of energy  and take what you can assimilate- you will progress exponantially.

For those who go for material favors to him- I remember the story of a begger who went to a king for help.  The king was kind   and asked  the man as to what he wanted? The poor man wanted a good meal and some money. It was a pity- for the king would have given the man whatever he would have asked for.

One has to shed the ego  and go to the Sudguru without Ego- a child has no ego about him. A child like approach to your Sudguru is a must , if you wish to have his grace.  I remember a story  I had read somewhwere-God bless whoever told this story-for this has got a lot of sense in it.

There was a sadhu who did intense Tapasya  for 12 years. One of the Gods was happy  and appeared in front of this sadhu and offered to give a boon to him. The sadhu was full of ego  and  so sure of his Karma.  He told   the Lord, “O Lord.  I do not want anything specific- judge my actions  and give  me the result of the same. The Lord asked him, “ What have you been doing for the past 12 years”.  The sadhu replied,”Lord , you know that I have done meditation  sitting on this rock for 12 years”. The good Lord replied- “ You have desired to have the result of your action-so be it. You have sat on this rock for 12 years   and now this rock will sit on you for the next 12 years.

This story may or may not be true- most likely to be a parable to deliver a message only-but the fact remains that the Ego is the first stumbling block on the way. The Sudguru would  test you in many a ways  to see if you have shed your ego or not   and knowingly put you in many a situations  where your ego will be ruffled  and try to rebel. At such times,  a Sadhak , removes   his Ego by applying the knowledge found  at the feet of a realized master.

What a Divine game- The relationship of a Sudguru with his   disciple. The Sudguru watches over the disciple like a mother would to her favorite child and the child is smug under   the benevalent gaze.

Difference between a Guru and Sudguru

Difference between a  Guru  and  Sudguru

The relationship of a Disciple with his Guru is a divine one  and nothing like it exists anywhere in the cosmos.  In this relationship, the Guru  unhesitatingly gives his spiritual wealth  to his disciple- a wealth gained by him after intense Tapasya. This wealth helps the disciple in cutting the ever binding circle of life   and death and achieve those aims, for which  one has taken birth.  It   is just like a father who unhesitatingly gives all that he has ,to his son. I am saying this in the Indian context   and tradition in which a father will do so- totally selflessly  and   without any consideration for his own future and needs. This is the holistic and the spiritual way of looking at the things. Of course , these days   the times are different   and there is so much of dross  and selfishness , that these divine qualities are lost to most.

The other  day I was watching Discovery channel. Normally I do not see the TV since, there is nothing much to be gained from doing so. To me it is just a waste of time. The same time needs to be used for doing something more useful and evolving. The clip was showing a small leopord  female   with  three cubs. A lioness saw them   and crept close to them.  The female Leopord did not run but faced the lioness  and even charged to make the lioness run away-even at the risk of getting itself killed. Parenting ,  wheter in humans or in   the animal world is a natural feeling- an exquisite feeling.

A Guru has the same feeling for a disciple  and wishes to give him all  the spiritual bounties provided the disciple is fit   and capable to take the same. But then the Guru has to have the capability of bestowing  the grace   and the disciple has to have   the capacity and purity of mind, heart   and the psyche to be able to assimilate   what the guru wishes to give-for there is a spiritual law governing this give and take. Unless the disciple has removed   the dross,  the Guru’s energy will just not seep in to him. Inner purification is a must along with the commitment  and intense desire to evolve spiritually.

But   then  the meaning of the word ‘Guru’, has to be unbderstood first of all. The word ‘Guru’ is  a Hindi word , composed of two separate words i.e. Gu+Ru, which means ‘Remover of darkness’- or the giver of knowledge. Lack of true knowledge is darkeness. Guru is a  misunderstood  and mostly misquoted term. Most   people think that once they have taken someone to be their ‘Guru’- all the hassles of life will  be miraculously   solved by   the Guru. Nothing can be far from  the truth.  We all have incarnated bound by the law of cause and effect  and have to pay back the Karma which we incurrd in past incarnations.  It is we  who have to pay the same, whether in this life or postpone it to the next one.  It will be unfair   and impractical to expect   the Guru  to take over  the same. It will never work out that way.

Why does one go to a Guru- It is to learn something form him. One  must be sure as to what  one wants  to learn from a Guru.  If I wish to learn about the tunig of my car-  the mechanic is my guru for that purpose. Likewise, if  one wants to learn  driving , the driving instructor is the Guru. When we talk of a spiritual Guru, it means   that we are keen to learn about the spiritual and evolving sciences. There are nth number of Gurus caliming   to have   the requisite knowledge to be a Guru. It is a difficult decision to select a Guru. In  my mind ,  there are four tests  with which one can decide as to who can be one’s Guru.  These are-

a)   The one going to whom  , you experience   and inner peace can be your Guru

b)   The one  who has 24 carat excellent Moral  character
c)    The one who does not desire anything from you
d)    If you sincerely practice what the `guru teaches you-just for three months , some results have to   come  by way of little experiences, inner peace etc  and such indicators   that you are on the right path

If none of this happens, then I am afraid , you will  be wasting yoru time with that indivisual for he can not be your Guru.  The Guru can guide   and mostly opeartae in the world of three dimensions. It means  that such teaching would be good enough for disciple’s presnt life only.

A  real spiritualist knows that we are livivng in a world of seven dimensions   and beyond. Unless the Subtle anatomy was cleansed, there can be no long term progress  which will enhance the Karmic account in after death stages- leave alone Emancipation. When one is looking  for this kind of knlwledge  and evolution, a Guru operating within the confines of three dimensions will not do any good-  for the subject matter is simply beyond him.  Most preachers , who just tell stories  to the gullible public can lead  you nowhere- here I am talking about serious ‘Spirituality’  and not   the momentry happiness and satiation of the external  mind.

Here you need a ‘Sudguru’. Ther is a big difference between  a Guru  and ‘Sudguru’.  A Sudguru is the one who has the following capabilities-

a)  He can operate across he subtle domains at will and has the capability of resolving   and cleansing the disciple’s  subtle bodies  for his faster evolution

b)  It is a relationship which spans across the river of time- many a life times, until such time   the disciple becomes an energy form- like a glass of water thrown in to the sea becomes   the sea itself

c)  He does not bind his Karma with anyone and has his independence- as also gives his disciple  the total independece. A  Sudguru does not treat the disciple  like a dog on   the leash

d)  His  grace is there for everyone  and each one who comes in contact wih him gets  the kind of energy which he can assimilate at his level

e)   He toils for hmanity selflessly and does not desire anything for himself from you. The only thing that he   desires is your growth  and spiritual welfare.

f)  He is beyond the realm of Maya. He treats the good the bad and   the ugly alike  and gets cheated nth number of time , again  and again – with full awareness of being so- just because he realizes  the latent spirituality in every human being  and knows   that all these deeds are due to ignorance  and someday the seeds of spirituality will frutify – in this or in the next incarnations.
e)  He is a Master who has seen the other side of life called ‘death by repeatedly going in to a state of Samadhi- a thing the wordly ‘Guru’  has no capacity to do.

Hence  be careful , when you go in the presence of a Realized master. If you wish to gain the grace of such a Sudguru-go to him with a clean heart-like a small child  and lay all your shortcomings at his divine feet  and be  totally bare, as  you are.

I have seen many a foolish people  who go to the Mahayogi, with a black heart  and intent to cheat. One feels , nothing but pity for such human beings. They are so far away from  what bounties  the Sudguru can give   them. Leave alone the Sudguru- even a lowly Master  Pranic healer is able to sense-  the quality of energy.  When you go to the feet of a Sudguru, go truthfully  and with a clean heart  and try to obtain his grace. If you become worthy , the grace will flow. Make no mistakes-one evil thought   and Sudguru can see your aura   and know about you- for he is one with  the cosmos.

It is a rare good fortune to find a Sudguru  and more important -to be accepted by
Him. When you find  the Sudguru, the path becomes crystal clear. If you prove worthy, the Sudguru will never leave you in this life as also after life.  The fear of death-which is only a transformation-will go away.  It is a privilage   and a pleasure
To sit at the feet of Sudguru- no words need to be spoken. It is total bliss.

Fortunate are those who are under the blessed gaze the of a ‘Sudguru’

Astrology and Karma-I

Astrology and karma-I

I read the other day that the zodiac has changed and the astrologers in the west think that a thirteenth zodiac sign needs to be added. Now this, places the whole lot of the presently defined  'astrological science' in a Limbo.  This topic interests everyone, be he a king or a commoner, astrology is a must for everyone   and the sayings of the so-called ‘Astrologers’ have a considerable impact on the world mind- the collective mind of the world’s human population.

Astrologers of the world- beware- for an irresponsible utterance from you involves Karma.  Is it wise to incur the karma – just for a bit of money?  I will give a live example   to illustrate my point.  Many years back there was this   person in the city of Nagpur in India, whom we used to call’ Uncle’.   He is no more and may the good Lord rest his soul in peace.  This individual was fond of asking   astrologers of all types about his future.  He met an astrologer when he was young and showed his palm as also his horoscope to this person. The astrologer was quite knowledgeable and made certain predictions i.e.   that the individual would have three children, one of whom would be retarded and that he will go abroad and make a lot of money etc. this person was thrilled and happy for he was then young and inexperienced. He asked in a light tone as   to his age and longevity. The   wise astrologer told him that he would not see 66th year of age.  The wheel of time moved on and most predictions made 30 years back came true.  I met this person when he was running 65th year of his life. He did have a retarded child and was otherwise quite comfortable financially.  Besides he had an unmarried daughter.  The specter of looming death in every train/air journey gave him immense torture - day in and day out.  He lost his health and became grievously sick out of the worry- a cardiac case.  It took a lot of doing to convince him as to the rationale of the astrology and that the predictions were not always correct. The only correct science of astrology is said to be the Tibetan science of Kaal Chakra. The knower of this science are too far evolved   and would not speak about it to us – puny human beings.

Why did I write this story? We all know   that there is a good Lord above, call it law or call it energy- does not matter but one cardinal truth is there-which has always been there-  “ The Law of Karma” – which does not spare any one. In this case, the astrologer was the cause of an intense mental torture to this innocent human being.  The law of Karma would dictate, that this astrologer would have to pay back ‘With Interest “ the torture caused to someone, by his irresponsible utterance. Hence beware…here you are on a tricky ground.  I have had the fortune to be able to see and delve in this subject   to some depth and to know what is knowable for a common person, but that is a class apart and it is not my aim or intent   to write long blogs on this subject.

However, we have to decide on one basic question.   The horoscopes all over   the world are cast based on the birth time of the individual.  We all rely on the given astrological data to such an extent that all major decisions of life are based on the same, which to my mind is not the correct thing to do.  What should be the real birth time?
When   the fetus grows, the soul, which is to live in that body would come and   go periodically to see that all is well. It is probably like a person periodically going to his house under construction to see that all is well.   However, when the development has taken place, the soul, by the divine dictate comes   to occupy the body for the final time-    said to have finally come across the river of time - to live in the body for the given period called a 'life time'. When this happens, the soul urgently desires to come out in the world. It is at this time that the labor pains start.

Should this be taken as the correct   birth time??  Or   the time when the child’s head appears first   the first time?? Or the time when the whole body is out?? Or   the time when the child uttered the first sound?? Or the time when the child took the first breath?? Or the time when the cord was cut to make the child’s life independent of the mother?? ……..and what about   the nth number of cesarean deliveries that are done all over the world?

It is an open question as to   which of these ‘time’ should be the real time on which a birth chart should be based. I do not know the answer. Maybe someone would be able to find an answer or maybe some astrologer may like to consider the question ands make us illiterates more knowledgeable.  Anyway, I do not desire to have an answer, since to a spiritualist, one has incarnated to neutralize KARMA and   in the process, the brickbats are as welcome as the garlands - so why worry- just plod on.

The aim of writing this Blog is not to generate a controversy, or to decry the knowledge of astrology or to discredit   the astrologers- they are welcome to their livelihood and their Karma. We are all loners – are we not?  The aim of this write-up is simply to trigger some thoughts in a few   so that they understand   and utilize   this divine science in the right perspective- duly taking in to account all the subtle forces which surround all of us and which should be taken in to account.  More of it later as we go along.  I have a few definite thoughts on the subject, which are worth considering. These would help an individual to develop a discriminative mind- a mind that is capable of judging a situation or a subject in the right perspective   and take   the correct decision on the same in a   very long term context- spanning over many incarnations.

It is hardly possible to cover, such a vast subject as this, in a short Blog.  As such, I intend to cover this subject under number of articles under the heading ‘ Astrology and Karma. This is the first one in the series. As to when I will be impelled to write the next one, I cannot say.  It would depend on the priorities and availability of time for this subject- and of course   the intuition has to support the same or else one may make mistake in the expression. Hence, it will be worth it to be in touch with the Blog, if you desire to do so.

The language is such an incomplete and inefficient tool for holistic purpose.    When we talk about astrology, we are trying to pry in to the designs of the Lord. If the aim is spiritualistic, there is no harm in doing so. So, may the good Lord bless you all in your journey of Life?

My Sudguru

A Blog is something very personal. It is a medium through which one says what one has to say. A statement made in a ‘Blog’ is neither a teaching nor an advice that the others may follow. There can be so many paths leading to the top of a mountain.  Each of these paths may be right for the one following his path.

In my case, I have had a rare fortune to see the mystic phenomenon from a ringside seat with a clear mind and total independence of thought. In the process, I collected a host of knowledge (from my viewpoint) on a wide variety of subjects. However, all this was bookish knowledge.  Rev Gurudeva has always said,”
The real knowledge is the one which is derived from your inner experience in your inner psyche and not what you have read from a book or heard from someone”.  The real time experience is a class apart. As such, I surrendered myself to my Revered Gurudeva known to the world as “Pilot Baba”.  I cleaned my mental state totally before I went to him for being accepted as a disciple. It was more than worth it.  While in the process, I have had the great good fortune to see the wonderful and divine personality of Rev Gurudeva.  I, like so many others   have been a witness to so many incidents, which the worldly man would call as ‘Miraculous’.

A TV set is miraculous to the aborigine but once the circuitry is explained to him, the miracle becomes ‘Science’.  A miracle of today is the science of tomorrow.  As such, a so-called miracle is the subtlest science. A ‘Mahayogi’ is the one who has seen,   experienced and has total knowledge of so many subtle dimensions with full awareness and understanding.  As such, a disciple is in more than safe hands in the hands of such a Sudguru.  There is nothing like ‘Himalayan Siddhas Yoga’ on the planet Earth. It   is not a tall statement- it is the  ‘Truth’.
Sharing some experience at the feet of a realized master is elevating- to say the least. The description of these experiences can act   as a trigger for faster evolution in case of many. It is therefore, a bounden duty of a spiritualist to share the same with others. Hence, the decision of mine to write a ‘Blog’- for whatever it may be worth. I have had the great fortune to be in touch with  a few other Sadhaks  who have had such experiences. Some of them have agreed to share the same with others. If any of the disciples   have gone through such experiences, they are welcome to share the same with others. I will gladly reproduce the same in this blog , if they send the same to the mail id  navnirman11@gmail.com.  More of it as we go along. God Bless all with  good karma and a discriminative mind- for these qualities will attract  Revered Gurudeva’s Blessings.

The Need to be Healthy

My revered master has always advised serious Sadhaks to look after the body vehicle; since this is the only medium through which the divine expresses it in three dimensions. If the body vehicle is sickly, it cannot assimilate the divine energy.  The evolutionary road becomes very long for a sick vehicle. One might say that many renowned saints in the past were sick. Ramakrishna Paranhansa   and Ramanna Maharishi were sick for extended periods   before they cast off their mortal frames. However, they were a class apart and their sickness was probably due to taking over someone else’s Karma.  In case of Ramakrishna, he took pity on one of his disciples, who had served him well and therefore the saint took over the Karma of the disciple and had to pay the price. Point to note is that all these great ones did not die helplessly but cast off their body shell at their own sweet will. Their bodies suffered but they did not die until   they wished to leave this world of three dimensions-a matter of choice for them.

Anyway, I am digressing from the main topic. Even if are not inclined towards “Desire for Evolution”(Whatever this term may mean to you) and wish to enjoy the pleasures of the worldly life, you still need a healthy body to do so. Hence, whether you are a spiritualist or an atheist, you all would desire to have a healthy body vehicle.

The above being so, one must devote time and effort to learn what can be learnt to keep the body system fit. Making this statement opens  ‘Pandora’s Box’.  As I go along and express my opinion, some comments are inevitable. Some of these may be useful whereas some others may be outright illogical.  Fortunately, a Blog is one-way traffic and I am not bound to react or to answer these.   Each one for himself and welcome to his search- like I was welcome to my search.  As such, fully knowing the risks involved- getting garlands or the brickbats, I have decided to say what I must-for what I think is common good.  The garlands or the brickbats do not interest me or affect me one   way or the other. These are irrelevant for a ‘Sadhak’.  I do not care- and why should I care?  We are all loners in our Spiritual journey-are we not?

However, there is a guiding star that guides, corrects, encourages and looks after you in many ways in subtle realms in the form of a real Sudguru  (and   not the pseudo ones you find these days a dime a dozen) - if you are fortunate to have one. I have my Sudguru, known to the world as “ Rajrishi Kapil Advait” also popularly known as “Pilot Baba”. I feel smug under his benevolent and divine umbrella.  I am his   disciple and not a devotee. To know the difference between a disciple and a devotee, please read page number 4 of “Nav Nirman-The message of Himalayan Siddhas” volume1 printed by Navnirman Publication trust.

Hence, you should read    the series of Blogs to come, with an open mind. If you find these useful, do imbibe the same in your lives.  If not, I am sure you have a dustbin in your house where   these can be discarded. I am sure all of us have a mental dustbin within us, wherein useless information can be discarded and erased.

The good Lord has not made me a doctor and it would be inappropriate for me to take on the role, which the lord did not allot to me.  However, there is no bar on collecting   and using knowledge to one’s advantage and sharing the same with the fellow human beings for their good – and this is what I precisely intend to do.  I must apologize fro straying from the topic at hand.

What is disease?  Disease is an imbalance in the body system. The human body is a beautifully complicated system.  Most people cannot think of the human body beyond the three dimensional physical form.  In reality, the human body is a complete system consisting of the gross and the subtle. The great ancient yogis from the holy land of India knew of this and treated the whole as a complete system, of which the physical body was just a part.  Our sages have said,” Yatha Bramhandey tatha Pinday” i.e. the gross human body is thee microcosm of the universe as also there is a miniature replica of the universe in our body system at as subtle level. On the same scale, the gross human body can be compared to a ‘Nation’ and all the body cells would be akin to its citizens.  If some citizens do not obey the law or are beyond the rule of the law, the society becomes sick and decays.  In a similar fashion, if some of the cells in the human body do not obey the cosmic program of the mutation, they make a colony, which continues to grow with more of these- resulting in ‘Cancer’.  A society can also become cancerous.  We will dwell on such matters in future blogs.

The Lord has given us many bounties-if only we cared to look for the same.  Each plant and vegetation has a relation with the human life in some or the other way. For example “Cassia Fistula” – known as “Amaltas in India has profound curative effect on healing constipation, common cold, fevers including black water fever, skin disorders, lack of taste etc and many more. Similarly Elletaria Cardamomum also known as “Choti Elaichi” is useful for digestive disorders, bad breath, genito- urinary disorders, and depression, Hiccups etc.

Some of the flowers have hidden magic in them. Edward Bach was a pioneer in this field and had carried out excellent research on the profound effect of flower extracts on the   human mind. An Extract called ‘Mimulus’ removes the Fear of all types (Condition being that the cause of the fear must be known). It will give stability and enable the person to cope up with the situation. Cause of known fears can be- child who has not done well at exams and is afraid of the results- a busy executive held up in the traffic jam and afraid that he will miss the flight- or a cancer patient afraid that he is going to die- a paratrooper just before he takes the plunge etc.  This wonderful extract out of the ‘Flower Remedy’ can be purchased from any good homeopathic Store.
Excess of any thing is always bad. Bahgwad Gita   always advises an aspirant to take a middle path.

There is   a wealth of knowledge just waiting to be picked up. If only we devoted some time and effort to search. How to find the time for yourself in this- mad world full of activity?  You have to find your own answer. Is it not?
